NOAA On-Site Training
On Friday, December 16, we were grateful to host over 30 NOAA Marine Technicians from across the US at our headquarters in Bellevue, Washington, to provide on-site training on various Sea-Bird Scientific technologies and instruments.
(Chris Cheshier, Technical Support Manager and Connor Bacon, Technical Customer Support, teach the Software session)
Rotating through three different topics: hardware, software, and The Cruise: Before, During, and After; technicians got the opportunity to learn from our scientists and technological experts first-hand on the science behind Sea-Bird instruments.
(Natalie Zielinski, Product Manager, teaches The Cruise: Before, During, and After session)
(Students listening intently to the Hardware session, taught by Ben Crossen, Technical Customer Support, and Dave Stahlke, Support Technician)
The training, lasting a day, also consisted of a site tour, which allowed trainees to see how Sea-Bird Scientific creates each of our instruments in Bellevue from start to finish.
(Charlie Wilkins, NOAA Senior Survey Technician, asks a question in the Software session)
The training at Sea-Bird Scientific could not be complete without having some fun. Jochen Klinke leads a Jeopardy session for a chance for the trainees to receive extra swag.
(Two NOAA marine technicians fist bump after getting a question correct)
Thank you to the team at NOAA for such a successful training session! We look forward to hosting you again soon.
