This case study was developed in partnership with the University of Washington (UW) Ocean Technology Program. Sea-Bird Scientific partnered with Sasha Seroy, Ph.D. and a select group of students at UW to explore the use of the Deep SeapHOx™ V2 pH sensor in freshwater environments. The deployment took place across approximately seven months from October 2024 – April 2025.
Dive into the next generation of optical monitoring with Sea-Bird Scientific’s cutting-edge ECO V2 Series. The ECO V2 series offers an impressive dynamic range, seamlessly transitioning from the deep blue ocean to coastal waters, all while delivering 16-bit resolution and enhanced signal-to-noise ratios across up to four channels.
The Deep SeapHOx™ V2 moored system is a testament to our dedication to providing tools that withstand the harshest ocean conditions and deliver meticulously accurate data. Whether you’re studying ocean acidification or monitoring deep-sea ecosystems, the Deep SeapHOx™ V2 is your reliable partner in oceanographic research.
The HydroCAT-EP V2 multiparameter CTD garners highly accurate data in areas ranging from deep ocean environments to coastal waters, all while delivering high-resolution data and enhanced signal-to-noise ratios across every channel.
We are pleased to partner with Scripps Institute of Oceanography to showcase a recent study done by Dr. Andrea Kealoha and her team at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa in monitoring coastal water quality following the devastating wildfire in Lahaina in August of 2023.
Sea-Bird Scientific recognizes the need for robust, reliable in-situ and high-quality pH sensors. We offer two solutions that are state-of-the-art, multi-parameter systems with integrated flow paths that provide better correlation of measurements and sampling, as well as manufacturer-supplied software that allows the user to set up the sensor, monitor graphical data in real time, upload stored data, and process that data.
